Elastic FM have announced plans to move to a larger studio. After 6 years at Station Business Centre, Station Road Clowne, the Community Media organisation will be making the very short move to a purpose designed studio on North Road.
Commenting on the move, Elastic FM Chairman David Lilley said “We have been really happy at Station Business Centre but we needed to revisit our business plan and the costs of operating. We are especially grateful to Anthony Buckingham and Buckingham Insurance for sponsoring our new studio. This gesture epitomises the value that Anthony and his company attach to our local community and the work that we do”
The new premise provides Elastic FM with a dedicated studio and their own bespoke reception and meeting room. The move to new premises will be supported with some new impetus and a recruitment drive for more Community Journalists and Presenters.
“Social Media has changed some of our thinking about how we communicate with our local audience. We have released short videos on Facebook that have received several thousand views and can be consumed on demand. Social Media will be an integral part of our future and this means that we can attract a new breed of Community Journalist. What we do in the future will not just be about live audio shows” added David Lilley.
