Clowne lady Karen Child, who won the National Lottery in 2007 has once again provided financial support to Community Radio Station, Elastic FM. Miss Child provided some funding when Elastic FM was first formed in 2011 and has been a regular attendee at all of their events.
Commenting on this latest support, Elastic FM Chairman David Lilley said “Everyone involved in Elastic FM is a volunteer. We support our community-based operation, have to raise funds through events and sponsorship. Many local businesses have supported Elastic FM over our short but memorable history but no one has been more supportive than Karen Child, who has always been prepared to offer financial support to local good causes. She is one of the most community-minded people I know and Elastic FM is proud and grateful to have her as a friend and ally”
